Archers shoot at a target 50 meters away with the goal of hitting the 8cm diameter center ring. More information is available at  World Archery.

Spectator Comments from Friday Night Football:
"Once again, another FUN night with the student section at the stadium! I’m telling you, parents, you should be proud of your students; respectful, kind, fun…they were amazing! When a player for the other team went down hurt and they were in the middle of a cheer, they listened to the adults beside them (including me) to stop yelling, to be respectful of that player. Then clapped and cheered when he got up! They also stayed and cleaned up! I’m so impressed with them all and just had fun!! Thanks, kids!" -  Camlin Weston

Friday, September 17, 2021, Weekly Administrative Update

This blog focuses on sharing important information and photos taken throughout the week.

Dear BFA/NCTC Community:

After spending a great deal of time meeting with various BFA/NCTC staff, Central Office, CPC staff, and our Athletic Council, I remain super excited for our Homecoming Week and all that it has to offer all of us. As with everything that we do, we need to state priorities and understand the positive that results, and accept the inevitable restrictions with meeting those objectives. The priorities for this fall:

1. Keep school fully operational.
2. Maintain fully functioning extracurricular activities, including our production of Into the Woods.
3. Host an unrestricted Powderpuff game.

In order to increase the likelihood of meeting all three, caution must be taken with large indoor gatherings that may lead to greater numbers of students being out of school due to health-related issues. I would define a large gathering as greater than one entire class with staff being in the gym at one time. So, while we will not be able to have a full 1000+ pep assembly in our gym, The Athletic Council and their advisors are working on ways to still have vibrant competitions among students. The back parking lot may be an option for class competitions. The Homecoming Game looks to be an evening of positive vibrant school spirit with post-game fireworks, bonfire, music dancing, and lawn games; these will all be held outdoors at the Complex, weather permitting, The parade will also be a great Homecoming activity, especially given the all-important theme of the '80s. I look forward to meeting with the Athletic Council when they gather and hearing their proposals for the pep rally.

Have a great weekend,
Brett Blanchard
Principal
