Sara Howrigan provided the following statement: "I am thrilled at how tonight’s Vermont Sports Hall of Fame annual dinner turned out. It was great to return to an in-person celebration. As a Board Member we recognize Vermont athletes, coaches, sports writers and prominent families that have done great things for this state. Our proceeds go to Prevent Child Abuse Vermont, a great cause. Since I’ve been on the board one of my responsibilities is getting volunteers for the night of the dinner. It takes a lot to make a great event. The BFA Athletic Council has sent athletes for the past five years to our event to volunteer. I take great pride in how they show up and represent our community, classy and dressed for success. Tonight BFA hockey coaches Toby Ducolon (Class of 2020) and Bill O’Neill (Class of 2022) were inducted and these kids and Dan and Linda Marlow Linda Marlow made our night amazing. The kids did meet and greet, opened doors for the elderly, hung up all banners, distributed programs, ran the registration table and helped set tables (and handled my OCD with grace). They also were a part of the bigger picture. I’m thankful too that my daughter, Rowan Howrigan was selected to be a part of something I’m passionate about. My son Mark Howrigan also had been selected in the past. Thank you to everyone who made it a success. But my heart is pretty full tonight."

"Last week Amanda and Jesse from Vermont Gas Systems presented to BFA and NCTC students in the Career Pathways Center. They discussed employment opportunities with VGS, how the company is changing to meet renewable energy goals of the future, and what qualities make a strong job candidate and a successful employee. We would like to thank them for taking the time to educate and inspire our students regarding the job opportunities available to them in Vermont."

As in years past, my French IV/V class made a music video project this spring and they would love for you all to see it! 2022 "Ne parlons pas de Bruno" - It's the French version of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Disney's Encanto. We hope you enjoy it! (Many thanks to Will Pierce for editing the video for us even though he is no longer in French - but we can consider him an honorary French IV student.)
Merci beaucoup!! ~Kristi Waite
