Saturday, June 5th Prom:

Athletic Awards Night:

Any student who earned a Varsity Letter at any time during their four years of high school at BFA is eligible to come to the Athletic Awards Night this Sunday, June 6th at 5:00 pm in the BFA Gym.

Two emails have been sent out to all the eligible senior athletes via their PowerSchool listed email address.

This email is being sent to help clarify any confusion which may still exist.

Because of the lingering effects of COVID, the school is not allowed to serve a meal for this event as in the past. At this time, we can only allow the students and coaches into the BFA Gym for the presentation.

As a result of these restrictions, the awards event will be streamed live on the following link:

If your son/daughter has not already done so, please confirm their attendance on Sunday by emailing Mr. Marlow at: dmarlow@maplerun.org.

We look forward to seeing all of the seniors on Sunday night.

Thanks, Mr. Marlow

Senior News:

BFA is participating in the WCAX broadcast of area graduation announcements! BFA's Class of 2021 airtime is tentatively scheduled for June 8th. Spread the word. We will keep you posted on time.

Senior Week:

Unified Theater Performance on June 3rd:

What is Unified Theater?

This is the first year that BFA has offered a Unified Theatre Class.  Unified Theatre is co-taught by Susan Palmer, BFA Theatre teacher/director, and Kasia Bilodeau, BFA Integrationist.  The class combines students with learning differences and employs student mentors who, with support, plan and lead lessons.  On Thursday morning students presented their original fairytale to the preschool students at NCTC.  Many of the students involved had not been in a play before and the preschool students had not seen a play.  It was an exciting and fun experience for all!

Music News:

On May 27, 2021, BFA Chorus met at the First Congregational Church in St. Albans for the first time in over 14 months to rehearse and perform together since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. In this concert recording, BFA Chorus performs a 4-song suite encompassing a variety of genres of music that include the following songs, “Old Dan Tucker,” “A Million Dreams (from The Greatest Showman),” “Hush! Somebody’s Callin’ My Name, and “Blessing (Irish).”
BFA Chorus is lead by Armand Messier, BFA Choral Director, and Melissa Ewell, BFA Accompanist. Special Thanks to the First Congregational Church, Reverend Jessica Moore, and Music Director Erin Grainger for their hospitality in allowing BFA Chorus to use this incredibly beautiful church in the sharing of our music for all to enjoy.

Pride Month:

In June we celebrate PRIDE Month. LGBTQ+ and their allies celebrate each year in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan NY. The purpose of this commemorative month is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on our local, national and international history and to show support and respect to those in the community.
