Friday, November 12, 2021 Weekly Administrative Update

This blog focuses on sharing important information, classroom work, and photos taken throughout the week.

Dear BFA/NCTC Community:

Yesterday’s beautifully appropriate Veterans Day ceremony had the BFA Marching Band leading around a thousand students and staff to Taylor Park to pay tribute to our veterans. BFA 9th grader Cadien Shuford spoke wonderfully to the large community audience on what Veterans Day means for him and his family, as well the greater significance of the day.

This week I also had several meetings on exciting proposals on an all-school assembly, Winter Ball Dance, and a BFA/NCTC Career Day for juniors and seniors. We also plan on having local businesses meet with our students every Wednesday during the enrichment period in order to discuss their particular trade, as well as any internship and/or job opportunities. If you are a business owner/employee and interested in participating, please contact Liam Mahabir, Flexible Pathways Coordinator at lmahabir@maplerun.org.

Have a great weekend.

Brett Blanchard, BFA Principal
