Meet the BFA Administrative Team

Ms. Rico has been a valued member of the BFA community for many years. She served 17 years as an English teacher, followed by three years as the Instructional Coach. Now, as she steps into the role of principal, Ms. Rico is determined to create an environment at BFA where everyone feels a deep sense of belonging and pride.

Ms. Kattam is entering her fifth year as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at BFA. Before joining BFA, she dedicated a decade to teaching in international schools abroad. Passionate about problem-solving, Ms. Kattam consistently works to ensure that the curriculum, instruction, and student supports are effective and beneficial.

Mr. Bratko joins BFA this year after an extensive tenure teaching and leading in Chicagoland Schools. He is dedicated to establishing systems and structures that ensure our students' safety, foster their connection to the BFA community, and promote sound decision-making and effective learning.

It has been communicated that if there are incidents of vandalism, unsafe driving and parking, or if trash is left behind, the city will not allow BFA to use the garage. So please represent BFA well.
