Maple Run’s Mike Campbell Snags NEA Foundation Honor
Mike Campbell, a BFA St. Albans social studies teacher and longtime Maple Run EA leader, is among 43 public school educators across the US to receive the NEA Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence. Recognized for their leadership, excellence in the classroom, family and community engagement, commitment to equity and diversity, and advocacy for the teaching profession, the 43 awardees serve urban, rural, and suburban school communities. “These extraordinary awardees remind us that educators are the backbone of our communities and our democracy,” said NEA Foundation CEO Sara A. Sneed. “Building a bright future for America’s children requires that we all do our part to support educators and racial justice in public education.” Click below to read more.
