Powder Puff Announcement
The 2023 Powder Puff Event raised $33,673.15.
This was due to every student and volunteer who started fundraising as soon as school got out last year, the students and coaches finding time to practice around all of their other schedules, and most importantly this community that continues to support Powder Puff year after year.
Every single penny goes back into the community. The money goes to Camp Ta Kum Ta, the Jim Bashaw Cancer and Catastrophic Fund, and a scholarship in Jim Bashaw’s name at each school.
It makes my heart happy to see kids give back to their community. As always, it is amazing what kids can do when given the chance.

Senior Application Event
Another exciting College Application Event is on the books! College-bound seniors from the class of 2024 participated in this momentous and fun event on October 18th. College admissions counselors from UVM, Champlain, Vermont State University, and CCV were on hand to answer questions directly for students. This event has become popular to both jump-start the admissions process and to offer the support needed in what is otherwise a lengthy process. Share Your Heart Poetry Workshop

History was made in the boys' varsity race as senior Porter Hurteau went to the front off the start line and led wire to wire to pull out an eight-second victory and become the first BFA-St. Albans’ boy to win on the 3.04-mile course. His time of 15:26 puts him first on the BFA-St. Albans All-Time List for the course. His time converts to a 15:47 for 5K, another PR for Porter. Congratulations Porter!
Congratulations Cora Thomas!

Parking🚙🚙🚙- The city of St. Albans has allowed for BFA student parking at the parking garage free of charge. If you would like a parking pass, please stop by City Hall to fill out a form. It has been communicated that if there are incidents of vandalism, unsafe driving and parking, or if trash is left behind, the city will not allow BFA to use the garage. So please represent BFA well.
