Important Update to Seniors and Families

Hello Seniors and Families,

As Mr. Kimball indicated yesterday in his email, you are in the homestretch for graduation. Congratulations!

In this communication, I will provide you with dates for upcoming senior activities and a summary of these events. As we work through the planning process, additional details will be sent as well.

Thursday, June 4th, 6 pm - YouTube Live Event
During this event, we will be showing a recording of your graduation rehearsal. We are going to film a mock walkthrough so that you will know what to expect when you graduate.  This event will also be for our BFA Yearbook Dedication!

Friday, June 5th Yearbook, Cap and Gown Distribution
This drive-through event will be held at the Collins Perley Sports Complex. You will need to stay in your vehicles and drive around the circle at the main entrance of the Complex. We will have runners that will bring your yearbook, cap, and gown directly to your car. You can then exit the Complex immediately after. The price for your cap and gown is $22. You can bring either cash or make a check payable to Balfour. Also, if you did not order a yearbook, we ordered extra. Yearbooks are $50 cash or check written out to MRUSD. The following is your time slot to attend this event:
Adams - Chamberlain 4-4:45 pm
Chambers - Gaboury 4:45-5:30 pm
Gagne - Lamson 5:30-6:15 pm

This event will be held at BFA North through designated cafeteria windows. This will be for picking up awards and certificates.

Graduation - June 9 - June 13th
This year’s commencement will be a 2-part graduation. It is highly recommended that you watch the YouTube event on Thursday, June 4th at 6 pm. This will be your graduation rehearsal.  On June 9th - 11th you will arrive at the Collins Perley Complex at your assigned time slot. You will arrive in your cap and gown, and walk-in alphabetical order. For example, Tuesday, June 9th 5 pm will begin with last name Adams. I will be sending out that exact schedule next week. We suggest that you ride to the Complex in the same car as your family. You are limited to two family members to join you for the ceremony.  Upon your arrival at the Complex, you will be directed where to park. Please stay in your vehicles until you hear your name announced over the public address system. When called, staff will assist you in lining up outside of the Southside of the Complex. You and your two family members will walk through the ice rink and tennis court, up to the graduation stage. You’ll walk across the stage and receive your diploma. Once off the stage, you will have an opportunity for a professional photo with Whipple Photography. Your family is welcome to take photos while you are on stage. BFA will be purchasing one professional photo for each senior. Once your photo is taken, you will be ushered out the Northside of the Complex and will return to your vehicles. This whole process will be filmed. All of the graduation speeches will also be pre-recorded. These recordings along with musical pieces will be pulled together as a production for you all to watch from your homes on Saturday, June 13th at 11 am. This production will be made available to all seniors in a media file.

Note: The Senior Slide Show will be projected on the screens for you to view as you walk up to the graduation stage as well as shown on YouTube the evening of June 12th, Time TBD.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact me (524-6400 or tcallan@maplerun.org).

One last announcement, make sure to take a drive by the Collins Perley Complex this weekend to view some special messages for the Class of 2020.

Regards,

Ms. Callan
