The Local Scholarship Event
Over 90 seniors joined their school counselors in the library on February 15th for the Local Scholarship Event. Students worked feverishly throughout the enrichment period to start their applications and better understand the process of funding their college journey. Special thanks to Jaime Bristol, Peter Jones, and Scott Coolege for attending and supporting our seniors throughout the event. Special thanks to Stephanie Gagnon, Martina Newell, Amy Turner and the local scholarships committees for all of the work they do behind the scenes to make the local scholarship process work smoothly.

Governor's Institute of Vermont
This past Wednesday, interested BFA students attended an information session with the Governor's Institute of Vermont. Every year BFA sends 6-8 students to GIV's statewide institutes drawing from youth talent across Vermont.

Participants are not only able to dive deeper into shared passions and interests, being a GIV scholar opens the doors to scholarships, new friendships and professional contacts.

Principal Search
Good Afternoon,

I would like to once again thank you for your input and support as we navigate the hiring process for the next Principal of BFA. To those who participated in the input session, thank you! To those who participated on the interview committee, thank you for the time, energy, and thoughtful discussions we shared. We are pleased to announce that Polly Rico is our principal finalist and Polly will have opportunities to meet with the wider school community on Monday, February 20th, to answer your questions.

Please Save the Date!
Monday, February 20th, from 6:00-6:45pm, BFA students, parents/guardians, and community members are invited to meet in the BFA Library and will have a chance to ask questions to Polly and provide feedback.

Your input and feedback are greatly appreciated -- please plan to provide written feedback that will be considered prior to the superintendent's nomination to the Maple Run Unified School District Board of Directors. At the forums on Monday, Polly will share her experience and preparation for a principal position and will be available to answer questions that you have.

Thank you,
